Traditional Ragdolls are born white and the color gradually comes in over time. In a few days you will see color on the tops of the ears, and on the tail. It may take up to four years to achieve full color. Here are examples of traditional new born kittens. Photo gallery. Click on photos.
Non-Traditional Ragdolls are born with color, and include: Solid, Sepia, and Mink. They come in all colors, some are mitted and bicolor, or without white. Here are a few examples of non-traditional kittens. Photo Gallery. Click the photo to see examples of non-traditional kittens.
Seal Point. "Seal" is similar to the color of black coffee. "Point" means the cat has color on the, face, ears, legs, feet and tail. The body will be a shade lighter. Seal Point Mitted. "Seal" is the color of black coffee. "Mitted" means the Ragdoll has white mittens and boots, a white chin, and white belly stripe. Some will have a white blaze on the nose. Seal Point Mitteds are born white, and will achieve full color at four years of age. Seal Point Mitteds have blue eyes. Here are examples of Seal Point Mitteds at various ages.

Seal Point Bicolor. "Seal" is the color of black coffee. "Bicolor" is the pattern with white. The bicolor has a white inverted V on the face, white chest, stomach, and legs. Seal coloring on the face around the eyes, the ears and tail are seal. The bicolor will have seal shading on the back. Chocolate Point. Chocolate Point Mitted & Chocolate Point Bicolor. Chocolate is a dilute color, it is a warm brown, like coffee with a little cream in it. There can be different shades of chocolate, some lighter than others. The body color will be cream, or lightly shaded. Kittens are born white and it takes four years for full color to come in. Blue Point, Blue Point Mitted & Blue Bicolor. The color blue in the Ragdoll is like slate grey. These Ragdolls are born white, and achieve full color at four year of age. Blue eyes. Click on the photo gallery to see more examples of blue Ragdolls at various ages.
Lilac Point, Lilac Point Mitted & Lilac Point Bicolor. Lilac is a double dilute. Pastel grey with pinkish undertones. Body color will remain very light in the adult cats. Lynx Point, Lynx Point Mitted & Lynx Point Bicolor. Lynx is a pointed tabby. Lynx come in all colors. For example, seal lynx, chocolate lynx, blue lynx, lilac lynx etc... Since they are pointed, they will all have blue eyes. Click on the photo to see lynx Ragdolls of various colors and ages.
Tortie & Flame & Cream. Tortie is a pattern with splashes of red (Flame or cream). All torties are unique in their markings. Torties come in all colors, and in the three Ragdoll patterns; color point, mitted and bicolor. Flame is red, and come in color point, mitted and bicolor patterns. Cream is a dilute of Flame, softer more pastel in color. Torties are always female, and flame(cream) are usually male. Cinnamon is a rare color in the Ragdoll. It is red/brown. Cinnamon comes in all patterns, solid, color point, mitted, bicolor, mink, or sepia, lynx. Click on photo to see more examples of Cinnamon Ragdolls.
Fawn is a dilute of cinnamon. It is similar to lilac, but with a slightly red tone. It comes in pointed, mitted, bicolor, solid, or mink and sepia. Here are a few examples of fawn Ragdolls. Click on photo to view gallery.
Mink is darker on the points with shading on the body. They come in all colors, and in pointed, mitted, bicolor and lynx. They eye color is aquamarine, sometimes green, and rarely blue.
